Team Go Rocket Returns for Fashion Week and Ho-Oh’s Shadow Raid Day in Pokémon Go

Get ready for an action-packed Pokémon GO Fashion Week: Taken Over, running from January 15th to January 19th. This exciting event gives you the chance to confront Team Go Rocket as they infiltrate the game, offering thrilling encounters with Giovanni and the opportunity to rescue Shadow Palkia. Not only that, but you'll also have a shot at capturing Shadow Ho-Oh during the Shadow Raid Day event on January 19th.

During Fashion Week, you'll witness the debut of Shroodle and its evolution, Grafaiai. You can hatch Shroodle from 12 km Eggs, adding these new Pokémon to your collection. Keep an eye out for Team Go Rocket, as they'll be appearing more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons, giving you ample opportunities to use a Charged TM to help your Shadow Pokémon forget the Frustration move.

The event introduces several new Shadow Pokémon, including Shadow Taillow, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Trubbish, and Bunnelby. There's even a chance some of these rescues could be Shiny Pokémon. Engage in various Shadow Raids to battle these Shadow Pokémon, and for the first time, you can use Remote Raid Passes to participate in these raids from anywhere.

Embark on a special research task that will lead you to a Super Rocket Radar and a showdown with Giovanni to save Shadow Palkia. The event also features Field Research tasks, with rewards including Mysterious Components, Charged TMs, and Fast TMs. Completing the special Collection Challenge will earn you Stardust and an encounter with Trubbish.

On Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, join the Ho-Oh Shadow Raid Day. This event provides extra Raid Passes and increases your chances of encountering Shiny Ho-Oh.
