T-1000 MK1 Trailer: More Terminator 2 References Unveiled

NetherRealm and WB Games have just released the official gameplay trailer for T-1000, set to join the roster of Mortal Kombat 1 next Tuesday. This character stands out with his unique ability to transform into liquid metal, allowing him to creatively dodge projectiles. Fans of Kabal will find T-1000 particularly appealing, as he incorporates some of Kabal's signature weapons and moves, despite Kabal not being part of the game.

The trailer is rich with nods to the iconic film Terminator 2: Judgment Day. One highlight is the recreation of the famous scene where T-1000 wags his finger—a gesture that, interestingly, is banned in the NBA for being considered unsportsmanlike conduct. Additionally, T-1000 interacts with Johnny Cage, asking if he has seen John Connor, further cementing the character's ties to the Terminator universe.

Alongside T-1000, the trailer introduced Madam Bo, who will also be added to Mortal Kombat 1. In his Fatality, T-1000 showcases his liquid metal capabilities by changing his appearance and efficiently replacing his victim, embodying the machine's mission-driven nature.
