"Star Wars: Hunters Shuts Down Before First Anniversary"

Star Wars: Hunters has made the tough decision to shut down before even reaching its first anniversary, though it will still get to celebrate that milestone before the final curtain call. But, is it really worth celebrating the anniversary of a game on its way out? That's a question many fans are pondering.

When Is the Star Wars: Hunters Shutdown?

----------------------------------------

The servers are set to go offline on October 1st, 2025, marking the end of the road for Star Wars: Hunters after just nine months. Players have until April 15th to wrap up Season 5 and enjoy the game to its fullest. Zynga, the game's developer and publisher, has planned one last hurrah with a content update on April 15th, introducing the new Support Hunter, Tuya, available for free. On the same day, in-game purchases will be disabled, so make sure to use up any unspent Crystals, as refunds won't be available.

The Ranked Mode will keep running until the servers shut down, and events from the season will be rerun, giving players one last chance to enjoy the game's offerings.

It Isn’t Shocking

-----------------

While it's sad to see it go, the writing was on the wall for Star Wars: Hunters. Announced back in 2020, the game faced multiple delays, and its beta tests were limited to SEA and ANZAC regions. The lack of major console support and a lukewarm reception didn't help its case. Even the game's design missed the mark, opting for generic original characters over the iconic figures from the Star Wars universe that fans adore.

If you've uninstalled the game but want to relive the experience one last time, you can still download it from the Google Play Store until the shutdown date.
