Sonic Rumble Pre-Release Event: Monkey Ball, Altered Beast Crossover

Sonic Rumble is gearing up for an exciting pre-release crossover event, featuring iconic characters from Sega's beloved franchises. Scheduled before its worldwide release on May 8th, this event is set to kick off the festivities early for those in soft launch regions. From now until May 7th, players can claim the Werewolf character from the classic game Altered Beast completely free of charge.

For those subscribed to the Sega Star Event Pass, even more thrilling options await. You'll have the chance to unlock the Weredragon, another character from Altered Beast, as well as Opa-Opa, the first mascot from the arcade hit Fantasy Zone. But the excitement doesn't stop there. The in-game Ring Shop will offer additional characters like Upa-Upa and the Werebear, while the Red Star Ring Shop introduces characters from Super Monkey Ball, including AiAi and MeeMee.

It's quite unusual to see such a vibrant event before the official release, but for those lucky enough to participate during the soft launch, it's a fantastic opportunity to dive into the world of Sonic Rumble with these legendary characters. Sega has hinted that this is just the beginning, with a packed schedule of crossovers and collaborations planned for Sonic Rumble's future.
