Maintaining your footwear in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is crucial. This guide details how to acquire and repair shoes to keep your character mobile.
Acquiring Shoes:
While you begin with a pair, replacement options abound. Loot chests, fallen poachers, and other enemies for potential finds. Alternatively, purchase shoes from vendors. Tailors sometimes offer shoes, but cobblers provide better quality options. Locate cobblers on the map; their symbol resembles three red circles. One early location is Trosky. Note that cobblers, like Cobbler Matthew, may also sell horse equipment and crafting kits.
Repairing Shoes:
Several methods exist for shoe repair. Cobblers and blacksmiths offer repair services; the cost varies based on your Craftsmanship skill level and associated perks (providing percentage discounts).
Alternatively, self-repair is possible using a Cobbler's Kit. Your Craftsmanship skill determines success. Insufficient skill will prevent repair. Cobbler's Kits are obtainable from various vendors (including cobblers and blacksmiths), chests, and looted NPCs.
To use a kit, access your inventory, select the kit, and use the interact button ("E" on PC). A menu appears, listing repairable items. Faded items indicate insufficient skill. Select items and use the interact button again to initiate repair. The Blacksmith's Kit functions similarly for other gear. While vendor repairs are convenient, maintaining your equipment's condition is advantageous.
