Techland made a splash at Summer Game Fest 2025, confirming that Dying Light: The Beast will hit PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S on August 22, 2025.
This unexpected announcement places the Dying Light spinoff just months away, reintroducing players to Kyle Crane after his absence in the 2022 sequel. The reveal included a thrilling gameplay trailer, showcasing the myriad ways players can fight, slice, and smash through hordes of infected.
Techland describes Dying Light: The Beast as a "fusion of open-world exploration and intense survival horror." Set in the perilous Castor Woods, players must leverage every tool at their disposal to survive.
"You are Kyle Crane. After years of captivity and agonizing experiments under the Baron’s control, you break free," Techland’s description reads. "Teetering on the brink of humanity with a mix of human and zombie DNA, you grapple with your inner beast and the turmoil it brings. Mastering it is key to exacting revenge on the one responsible for your suffering."
