Monster Couch has announced the release date for the highly anticipated Wingspan: Asia Expansion, set to launch across all digital platforms on June 16, 2025. This marks the third expansion for the digital version of the beloved board game, following the European and Oceania expansions.
The Wingspan: Asia Expansion explores the diverse and colorful avian species of Asia. Players will encounter a variety of birds, each with distinct abilities and strategic uses. The expansion introduces 90 new bird cards, enriching the existing collection.
Alongside the birds, 13 new bonus cards are included, with two crafted specifically for Automa, the solo play mode. Each card remains true to the Wingspan style, offering detailed insights and facts about the featured birds.
The standout feature of the Wingspan: Asia Expansion is the Duet Mode, designed for two players. It revolves around a shared Duet Map, where players compete by placing tokens to secure habitat spaces while chasing dynamic round goals.
In a word: stunning! The expansion features four new backgrounds inspired by Asia’s diverse landscapes. Additionally, eight new player portraits reflect the region’s cultural and aesthetic heritage. Watch the latest date reveal trailer below for a preview.
Every session feels immersive and unique, enhanced by four new music tracks composed by Paweł Górniak. A refreshed tutorial is also available for newcomers to the game.
