Mobile gaming manufacturer Redmagic has unveiled their latest device, the 9S Pro, in China, with an international release scheduled for announcement on July 16th. The 9S Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with UFS 4.0 and LPDDR5X, and comes in four variants with storage options up to 24+1TB.
We have extensively covered Redmagic's previous products, including their chargers and coolers. Stay tuned for our in-depth review of the 9S Pro's capabilities in the coming days.
All that horsepower but no room to drive
Despite its impressive specifications, a potential concern with the 9S Pro is the availability of games that can fully utilize its powerful hardware. Apple has successfully brought next-generation titles like Resident Evil 7 and Assassin's Creed Mirage to their devices. In contrast, the Redmagic 9S Pro is expected to run existing mobile games such as those from MiHoYo or high-fidelity titles like Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. Priced similarly to the 9 Pro at around £500, some gamers might find this insufficient justification for the investment.
