Pokemon TCG Pocket's Blastoise Wonder Pick Event: Part Two Launches with New Cosmetics

The second phase of the popular Blastoise Wonder Pick event in Pokemon TCG Pocket is now live, bringing with it a fresh batch of cosmetic rewards. The in-game shop has been updated to include a new selection of Blastoise-themed goodies. These coveted items include a stylish Blastoise icon, a collectible Blastoise coin, themed card sleeves to protect your precious cards, and a visually stunning Blue and Blastoise playmat.

This second part of the event runs until January 22nd, offering players a limited time to earn event tickets. However, the event shop itself remains open until January 28th, providing a grace period to redeem accumulated tickets. Players are encouraged to log in regularly to maximize their chances of obtaining all the new cosmetics.

Following the busy holiday season, which saw generous giveaways of Pack Hourglasses and free booster packs, the event pace has slowed. Many players have completed the Mythical Island booster pack collection and eagerly anticipate the next expansion, rumored for a late January release. The confirmation that Pack Hourglasses will be usable in future expansions has prompted many to stockpile them.

This Blastoise event provides a compelling reason for daily logins. In addition to the new cosmetics, players can exchange surplus event tickets for Shinedust (50 Shinedust per ticket, up to 1,000 Shinedust total).

Blastoise Wonder Pick Event: A Recap

The first part of the event, which began on January 6th, introduced two new promo cards featuring Squirtle and Charmander. While possessing the same attacks as their standard counterparts, these promo cards boast unique artwork. Rewards from the first part, including a Blue-themed backdrop and a Blue and Blastoise cover, remain available. New missions, tied to Wonder Pick participation and collecting Fire- and Water-type cards, award Event Shop Tickets. These missions are cumulative across both event parts, and the Bonus Pick also offers additional tickets, streamlining the acquisition of shop items. Daily logins are strongly recommended, especially for those aiming to complete their collection of limited-edition promo cards, as trading these cards may not be possible.
