Path of Exile 2's Endgame Rituals: A Comprehensive Guide

Identifying and Initiating Ritual Events

Interact with an Altar after noting its modifiers. A large enemy wave will spawn within a designated circle. Remaining within this zone is crucial; leaving it prematurely ends the event and forfeits rewards. Successfully completing all Rituals on a map marks it as complete.

Confronting the King in the Mists

The "An Audience With The King" currency item, a potential Ritual reward, unlocks a fight with the King in the Mists, the Ritual Pinnacle Boss. Use this currency at your Realmgate on the Atlas to access the encounter.

The King in the Mists' mechanics largely mirror his campaign counterpart. Practice is available in Act 1 Cruel difficulty, within the Freythorn zone. Victory yields 2 Ritual Passive Skill points, a chance at unique PoE 2 items, powerful currencies, and Omen items.

Navigating the Ritual Passive Skill Tree

The Atlas Passive Skill Tree includes a Ritual section, enhancing rewards by reducing Tribute requirements, improving rewards, and boosting unique currency drop rates. More Altars completed increase Tribute and unlock more Favour options, ranging from basic Magic items and low-tier currencies to Rare gear and high-tier currencies. "An Audience With The King" is exclusively obtained through Favours.

Omen Currencies:

Powerful Omen items are possible Favour rewards. These consumed items modify the effects of other currency items. Examples include Omens of Annulment (specifying modifier removal) and Omens of Alchemy (specifying modifier addition). Omens are highly valuable and often traded for numerous other high-value currencies.

Additional Rewards:

Beyond Tribute and Favours, Ritual enemies drop high-tier currencies (Exalted Orbs, Vaal Orbs, etc.). The King in the Mists has a chance to drop Uniques from a Ritual-exclusive pool.
