"Nintendo Switch 2: 120fps, 4K Resolution When Docked"

After years of speculation, the long-awaited details about Nintendo's next-generation console, the Nintendo Switch 2, have finally been revealed, and they're more impressive than many anticipated. The new system boasts support for 120fps and can even reach up to 4K resolution when docked, showcasing a significant leap in performance.

During today's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo unveiled various features of the new console. The Nintendo Switch 2 features a larger 7.9-inch built-in screen, maintaining the same thickness of 13.9mm but with double the pixels of its predecessor. In handheld mode, it supports a 1080p resolution at up to 120fps, and it's equipped with an LCD screen that supports HDR. When docked, it can handle up to 4K resolution with HDR as well.

The Joy-Con 2 controllers introduce a new magnetic connection system, detaching via a release button on the back. The SL and SR buttons on the sides are larger, enhancing the horizontal gaming experience, and the left and right sticks have also been upsized. Additionally, this segment officially introduced mouse control support within the Joy-Con controllers.

The handheld version of the Nintendo Switch 2 comes with a built-in microphone featuring noise-canceling technology and 3D audio for compatible games. It also sports a larger, more robust adjustable stand compared to the original Switch. A top USB port allows for external camera connectivity or charging the system in tabletop mode.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is equipped with 256GB of internal storage, offering ample space for your gaming library.
