"Monster Train: Now on Android, Similar to Slay the Spire"

Monster Train, the acclaimed roguelite deck-building game, has now made its way to Android, following its initial release on PC in 2020, consoles, and iOS in 2022. Fans of the genre will appreciate its similarities to the popular Slay the Spire.

What Does Monster Train Bring to Android?

Set aboard a train descending into the frozen heart of hell, your mission is to safeguard the last burning pyre from celestial invaders. What sets Monster Train apart is its innovative three vertical lane system, allowing you to manage battles across multiple fronts simultaneously.

As you progress, you can unlock over 250 cards and explore five distinct monster clans, each offering unique playstyles. The ability to combine two clans at once adds layers of strategic depth. Every clan features ten levels of upgrades, enabling you to enhance your cards as you use them more frequently. Champions, the game's most valuable players, can receive multiple upgrades, further boosting your deck's power.

The Android release includes all updates, such as Wild Mutations and Friends & Foes. Wild Mutations introduces 35 new mutators and additional difficulty settings, enhancing replayability. Friends & Foes adds new champions, bosses, cards, and artefacts to keep the gameplay fresh.

Additionally, The Last Divinity DLC increases the game's replay value with the introduction of the Wurmkin clan, unlockable after beating Covenant level 1. The DLC also features the Pact Shards mechanic, offering more power and a formidable final boss, 'The Last Divinity.'

Will You Try It Out?

The Android version of Monster Train is fully playable offline, even in airplane mode, and is available for $10. In-app purchases primarily involve unlocking the full game, which, once purchased through your Google account, syncs across devices. Cloud saves ensure you won't lose progress when switching phones. However, note that there's no controller support. You can find Monster Train on the Google Play Store.
