Players assume the role of Thomas Evans, drawn to the hotel by his girlfriend, Elisabeth Williams, to investigate her family's unsettling behavior. However, the situation escalates as the sinister "Quiet Ones" are revealed to control the hotel.

These enemies are blind but possess incredibly acute hearing. The slightest sound alerts them, creating intense gameplay where stealth is paramount.
