Marvel Rivals players are in for a thrilling crossover as the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 swings into the game as a new skin. PlayStation made the exciting announcement on X/Twitter, offering a glimpse into how NetEase Games is bringing this iconic video game outfit to life in their new hero shooter.

Originally introduced in Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man, the Advanced Suit 2.0 has become a fan favorite, appearing across all three games in the series. Its standout feature, the striking white spider symbol, now makes its way into Marvel Rivals, marking a surprising collaboration with Sony and its console-exclusive superhero title. Fans can look forward to purchasing Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 in the in-game store starting January 30, coinciding with the PC release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Marvel Rivals has a surprise collaboration with Sony's Spider-Man game.

Since its launch in December, Marvel Rivals has been a hit, offering players a variety of unlockable suits. The addition of the Advanced Suit 2.0 stands out due to its connection to the beloved PlayStation series. Moreover, fans will be pleased to hear that Yuri Lowenthal, who voices Peter Parker in all three Insomniac Spider-Man games, reprises his role in Marvel Rivals. This means players donning the new suit on January 30 will experience the familiar voice of Spider-Man as they swing into action.

NetEase's inclusion of Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 adds to the excitement of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, which recently introduced new playable characters Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four. The Thing and Human Torch are slated to join the roster soon, and creative director Guangyun Chen has promised to release at least one new hero every month and a half, ensuring a steady stream of fresh content.

As we eagerly await the chance to try out the new Spider-Man suit, take a moment to explore some of the custom skins players have modded into the game. Additionally, stay informed about the balance changes introduced with Season 1 and learn how some players are using an Invisible Woman ability to detect what they believe are bot players.
