Here, you'll encounter a woman in the town center who speaks of a game involving the collection of origami butterflies. As you ride through the city, you'll notice these large paper butterflies pinned to tree trunks, accompanied by real butterflies fluttering around them.

Collecting these butterflies leads you to uncover disturbing notes, revealing the sinister nature of the Butterfly Collector. This group, comprised entirely of women, has a dark agenda: kidnapping children from affluent families to gain power and influence. Your mission becomes clear: stop the Butterfly Collector and save the innocent. There are five members of this faction to find and confront within the game.

Shucho

Shucho's carelessness offers you an entry point into the group. She has lost a kidnapped child somewhere in the Fishermen’s District at the southeastern tip of Osaka. You'll find her, dressed in green, frantically searching at an intersection. Use Naoe’s blade or Yasuke’s weapons to take her down, and then rescue the child hiding behind nearby horses.

Mucho

Head northwest across the bridge from Shucho's location to reach the Kojo ruins. Here, Mucho poses as a family jochu to get close to her targets. You'll find her struggling with a child on the road just south of the ruins. Use the child's resistance as a distraction to approach and defeat Mucho, then escort the child back to her mother.

Richo

Richo, a young woman who disguises herself as someone of higher standing, can be found in the northern end of Osaka, specifically in Noda Village across the water. Locals may mention a suspicious woman frequenting a bamboo grove. Head there to find Richo dressed in pink. Take her down and rescue her latest victim, a child hidden within the grove.

Kacho

After defeating the previous three members, you'll confront Kacho, the leader of the Butterfly Collector. Known for her cult-like control over her followers, Kacho is a formidable opponent. She's located just north of the Nishinomaru Garden, west of Osaka Castle, in a restricted zone. Approach cautiously, and when you see many butterflies, you're close. Engage her in conversation, then prepare for a deadly fight. Kacho's death will leave one final thread to unravel.

Gamemaker

The final member, the Gamemaker, initiated the butterfly collecting quest. Return to her marked location on the map to make a crucial decision. As a former victim, she created the game hoping someone would solve the mystery and save others. You must decide whether to punish her for her involvement or allow her a chance at redemption. Choosing the latter will let her adopt a new identity and start anew.
