Leaked: Early Footage of Battlefield 6 Surfaces Online

It appears that early gameplay footage from EA's upcoming Battlefield game has surfaced online following a closed playtesting session. As reported by TheGamer, a Twitch user named anto_merguezz streamed footage from EA's exclusive Battlefield Labs playtest. Although the clips are no longer available on anto_merguezz's page, someone captured the footage and it has since been shared widely, particularly on Reddit.

The leaked footage seems to confirm the modern setting hinted at by Vince Zampella, setting it apart from previous Battlefield titles with historical or futuristic themes. The clips provide a glimpse into intense firefights and showcase the game's signature destructible environments. Fans are reacting positively to what they've seen, which is encouraging, especially after the lukewarm reception to Battlefield 2042 at its launch.

Just last month, we got our first official look at what to expect from the next Battlefield game. Notably, EA has confirmed the return of a traditional, single-player, linear campaign, which has been a point of relief for fans disappointed by its absence in the multiplayer-focused Battlefield 2042.
