KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, the beloved RPG developed by Sesisoft, is set to conclude its service on January 30th, 2025. After nearly five years of operation, both the global and Japanese servers will shut down on the same day. Despite the end of service (EOS), there's a glimmer of hope for fans as the developers are working on a limited offline version. This version aims to preserve the main storyline, major quests, and events, allowing players to relive their favorite moments. However, details about this offline version remain scarce, leaving its realization uncertain.
The developers are handling the shutdown with grace. Official channels will close on February 28th, 2025, and all in-app purchases were disabled as of October 31st, 2024. Players can still use their Quartz and other in-game items until the service ends. If you're eligible for refunds on unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024, you can apply until January 30th, 2025.
Launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game based on the KonoSuba series. Set in a world threatened by the Devil King's army, the game offered a charming narrative, engaging visuals, and a visual novel-style story mode. Like many gacha RPGs, however, it faced the common challenges of maintaining player interest and managing high production costs. This year alone, numerous anime games have faced similar fates.
With KonoSuba: Fantastic Days set to shut down, you have only a few more months to experience it if you haven't already. You can find it on the Google Play Store. And before you go, don't forget to check out our news on Orna: The GPS MMORPG's Conqueror's Guild for PvP Battles.
