"Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Sells 2 Million Copies in Under 2 Weeks"

The success of *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* continues to soar, with the game now selling an impressive 2 million copies in less than two weeks since its launch. Developer Warhorse Studios celebrated this milestone on Twitter, calling it a "triumph" just as they did when the game hit the 1 million sales mark a mere day after its release.

This remarkable achievement belongs to Warhorse Studios' medieval Europe action role-playing game sequel, which debuted on February 4 and is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.

Last week, Warhorse Studios' parent company, Embracer, reported that *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* had performed exceptionally well on Steam, achieving a peak of over 250,000 concurrent players. To put this into perspective, the original *Kingdom Come: Deliverance* reached a peak of 96,069 concurrent players on Steam seven years ago.

It's important to note that *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*'s total peak concurrent player count is likely even higher, considering its simultaneous launch on consoles. However, neither Sony nor Microsoft publicly disclose player numbers.

Embracer, which owns Warhorse Studios through its subsidiary Plaion, praised *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* for its success not only in player and critic reception but also in performance. Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors stated, "This reflects the dedication and hard work of our development studio, Warhorse Studios, and our publisher, Deep Silver."

Wingefors expressed confidence that *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* would continue to generate significant revenue in the coming years, citing the game's exceptional quality, immersion, and appeal. He also highlighted Warhorse Studios' robust roadmap, which includes updates and new content over the next 12 months, promising a continuously engaging experience for the community.

"We are immensely proud of the teams involved in the successful release of *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, which has significantly outperformed our expectations so far," Wingefors added.

Looking ahead, *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*'s post-launch roadmap features three expansions slated for 2025. In spring, players can look forward to free updates including a Barbers feature with new customization options, Hardcore Mode, and Horse Racing. The summer will bring the first paid content, *Brushes with Death*, where protagonist Henry assists a mysterious artist with a shadowy past.

Come autumn, the *Legacy of the Forge* expansion will delve into Henry’s past by exploring his adoptive father Martin’s history. Finally, winter will see the release of *Mysteria Ecclesia*, where Henry undertakes a secretive mission to navigate the intricate dynamics of the Sedlec Monastery.
