Karl Urban Debuts as Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat 2

The highly anticipated sequel to the 2021 Mortal Kombat reboot is on the horizon, and fans have been treated to an exciting first look at one of its new characters: Johnny Cage. Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon unveiled a striking poster featuring Karl Urban, known for his roles in "The Boys" and "Judge Dredd," as the iconic Hollywood actor and fighter, Johnny Cage. The poster cleverly mimics a promotional image for a fictional Johnny Cage movie, showcasing two motorcycles dramatically leaping from flames.

"Mortal Kombat 2" continues the story from the 2021 film, which introduced audiences to Lewis Tan's character, Cole Young, alongside Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion and Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero. The sequel will see Urban joining a robust cast that includes Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, Tati Gabrielle as Jade, and Damon Herriman as Quan Chi.

The original movie followed Cole Young's journey into the brutal world of Mortal Kombat and explored the intense rivalry between Scorpion and Sub-Zero.
