Jack Quaid, known for his role in "The Boys," has expressed his enthusiasm for appearing in a potential BioShock movie, citing the iconic first-person shooter as one of his all-time favorite games. During a Reddit AMA held to promote his latest film, "Novocaine," Quaid highlighted the game's rich lore, suggesting it could be effectively adapted into a TV or movie format.

"I would actually love to be in a live-action adaptation of BioShock - one of my favorite games of all time," he shared. "I think there's such a rich lore to that game that could be explored in a TV or movie adaptation."

The possibility of a BioShock movie has been a topic of interest, especially after producer Roy Lee mentioned last July that the project had undergone changes following leadership shifts at Netflix. These adjustments resulted in a "reconfigured" film that aims to be more personal in its storytelling approach. Lee noted that budget constraints influenced these changes, although specific plot details remain undisclosed. Despite the alterations, Francis Lawrence, known for directing "The Hunger Games," remains attached to direct this anticipated adaptation.

"The new regime has lowered the budgets," Lee explained. "So we’re doing a much smaller version. It’s going to be a more personal point of view, as opposed to a grander, big project."

In the same Reddit session, Quaid also touched on his striking resemblance to the video game character Max Payne, whose likeness is inspired by Remedy's writer Sam Lake. Fans have noted the similarity, especially with scenes from Quaid's new action movie "Novocaine," leading some to jokingly speculate if it's a covert Max Payne film. However, Quaid admitted to being less familiar with Max Payne, although he plans to play the game soon, having been impressed by its box art.

"I've seen people say that I look like Max Payne, and when I've looked at the box art, even I did a double-take," Quaid remarked. "I love Rockstar's games, but unfortunately, I've never played that one - it's next on the list, for sure."

Beyond BioShock, Quaid's gaming interests extend to the challenging titles from FromSoftware. He has successfully completed games like Bloodborne and Sekiro and is currently tackling Elden Ring, expressing his admiration for the complexity and challenge these games offer.

"I'm a huge video game nerd," he said. "And lately, I've been diving headfirst into the FromSoftware library. I beat Bloodborne, then I beat Sekiro, and now I'm going full boar into Elden Ring. Actually, the thing I use Reddit the most for is tips and tricks on beating Fromsoft's bosses. I love how challenging the games are - it took me a while to get into them, but now I'm obsessed."
