According to Variety, the acclaimed video game Split Fiction is set to be adapted into a film. The report highlights that multiple top Hollywood studios have shown interest, leading to a package deal being assembled by Story Kitchen, a media company known for its expertise in adapting games and other non-traditional properties into films and TV shows. The same team at Story Kitchen previously handled the upcoming film adaptation of Hazelight Studios' game It Takes Two. Other notable projects from Story Kitchen, formerly known as dj2 Entertainment, include the Sonic the Hedgehog films and Netflix's Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. At this point, no additional details about the Split Fiction film adaptation have been disclosed.
*Split Fiction* continues to make headlines, having sold over two million copies in its first week of release. IGN praised it as an unmissable co-op adventure, noting its ability to remain fabulously fresh throughout its entire 14-hour duration. In related news, Hazelight director Josef Fares announced earlier this week that the studio is already working on its next game.
