In the chilling universe of *R.E.P.O.*, items are not just tools; they're lifelines that can dictate whether you conquer the next level or find yourself battling in the Disposal Arena with your teammates. Among these crucial items, Recharge Drones stand out as essential for success, so let's delve into how to acquire and utilize them effectively.
In *R.E.P.O.*, certain items you'll encounter at the Service Station are single-use, like Mines and Grenades. However, some items boast a "battery life" and can be revitalized using Energy Crystals. When you start your journey in *R.E.P.O.*, you'll spot a container-like object in your truck. This container is key for charging your weapons or drones, though it does require an Energy Crystal to operate.
When you buy additional Energy Crystals, they're seamlessly installed into the container, eliminating any worry about their disappearance post-purchase. To recharge an item, simply place it in the yellow bucket beside the container, and watch as it regains its health. This feature is invaluable for maintaining your gear's condition, readying you to face the horrors of the next level and its monstrous inhabitants.
Yet, some levels can be more punishing than others, with items wearing down rapidly based on usage. Although you can recharge at locations using Energy Crystals, you won't always be near your truck. That's where the Recharge Drone becomes indispensable, helping you manage your items' energy on the move.
After successfully completing each level, you'll find yourself at the Service Station, the hub for acquiring upgrades and essential items. Here, you can prepare for the challenges ahead, provided you have the funds.
Keep in mind, items at the Service Station appear randomly, so it might take several visits before the Recharge Drone becomes available. Once it does, expect to spend between $4-5K on this game-changing device. The Recharge Drone occupies one of your inventory slots, so assign it to slot 1, 2, or 3 after purchase.
You'll notice your items deteriorating by the battery bar displayed beneath them. When it's time to recharge, select the drone, activate it with the 'E' key as usual, and attach your depleted item. Let the Recharge Drone work its magic! Once the drone itself runs out of power, you can recharge it using Energy Crystals in your truck's container.
Now that you're equipped with the knowledge of where to find and how to use the Recharge Drone in *R.E.P.O.*, you're better prepared to navigate its terrifying challenges.
