In *Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii*, Goro Majima showcases his versatility with two distinct fighting styles, including the "Sea Dog" pirate style, which boasts four potent finishers perfect for tackling large crowds. However, unlocking all the dark instruments in the game is quite the adventure.

The Dark God’s Violin is your first dark instrument to unlock in *Pirate Yakuza* and is essential for progressing through the main story. You'll encounter it in Chapter 2 when Jason, a crew member, directs you to meet an old friend. This leads to an encounter with the Devil Flag pirates, who have killed Jason's friend and stolen the priceless Pharoh Stone.
Following the questline, you'll meet Misaki, the orphaned daughter of Jason’s friend, who joins your crew seeking revenge. Your journey takes you to the islands east of Madlantis, where you'll face a formidable Devil Flag fleet. Focus your attacks on the boss ship to board it and continue the fight. After defeating the Devil Flags, you'll receive the Dark God’s Violin. You can immediately test this new finishing move in a 100-enemy brawl on the island.
After the battle, a cutscene introduces the captains of the massive fleet: Yakuza, Ronin, Shinobi, and Zeus. While not necessary for the main story, defeating all Devil Flags is crucial for collecting all the Dark Instruments.

After your initial victory against the Devil Flags and the 100-enemy brawl, you'll start noticing special Devil Flag markers across the seas in *Pirate Yakuza*. To progress toward the next Dark Instrument, you'll need to collect 70 Devil Flags by defeating these ships or raiding their occupied treasure islands.
Once you've collected 70 flags, Atali Island will unlock on your map. Prepare a strong landing party, as you'll face multiple waves of attackers. After defeating these waves, you'll reach a treasure chest containing the Dark God’s Ocarina. However, you must first defeat Devil Flag Captain Yakuza to claim it.

After defeating Captain Yakuza, new objectives lead you to an island where the Pharoh Stone is supposedly hidden. It turns out to be a ruse, leading to another 100-enemy fight where you can test your newly acquired Dark God’s Ocarina.
Next, you'll learn that Zeus is headed to Flame Island. To progress, you need a three-star ranking and 130 Devil Flags. After collecting the required flags, head to the Flame Entrance Lighthouse to trigger a cutscene and unlock four treasure islands: Sunset, Heatwave, Welldone, and Scorching Heat. Remember, these islands don't allow the use of health items during battles, so ensure your crew is well-prepared.
After conquering the treasure islands, engage in another fleet battle, focusing primarily on the boss ship. After defeating the first mate, land on Flame Island with Jason, Masaru, Minami, and Saejima. Fight through smaller battles to reach Captain Ronin. Utilize your Dark Instruments to defeat Ronin and his crew, gaining access to the treasure chest with the Dark God of the Earth’s Guitar.

The Dark God’s Saxophone is the final Dark Instrument in *Pirate Yakuza*, requiring a Pirate Rank Four to unlock. Achieve this rank by completing main story missions, recruiting crew members, and engaging in mini-games and side quests. You'll also need 220 Devil Flags.
Head to the Frost Entrance Lighthouse to engage with the Devil Flag’s Fleet blocking Frost Island. Conquer four additional islands (Snowview, Coldwave, Icicle Island, and Glacial) to collect more Devil Flags. Defeat Captain Shinobi’s First Fleet before landing on Frost Island, where you'll fight through battles leading to a cave and a recovery area.
The final boss fight on Frost Island is against Captain Shinobi. After defeating him, a cutscene reveals Zeus taking Misaki hostage, ending with Goro obtaining the Dark God’s Saxophone.
The last boss encounter involves defeating Zeus and rescuing Misaki, a challenging two-stage battle that requires a nearly fully upgraded Goromaru. While not necessary for collecting all Dark Instruments, it's a fitting conclusion to your journey.
That's how you obtain all the Dark Instruments in *Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii*.
