Sony, in collaboration with Santa Monica Studio, has unveiled the exciting *Dark Odyssey* collection, an upcoming update for *God of War Ragnarök* set to launch next week. This update introduces a suite of in-game equipment themed around one of the franchise's most iconic outfits, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the God of War series.
Detailed in a recent PlayStation.Blog post, the *Dark Odyssey* collection is a highlight of Sony's anniversary plans, offering a free update for all *God of War Ragnarök* players on PlayStation 5 and PC, available from March 20. The collection boasts a sleek, black-and-gold aesthetic that promises to elevate the visual appeal of Kratos and his companions as they navigate the realms of Norse mythology. Both Atreus and Freya will receive their own unique cosmetic sets, alongside a variety of shields and weapons that will sport the new look.
The centerpiece of the *Dark Odyssey* update is a stunning armor set and appearance for Kratos, reminiscent of a legendary skin from *God of War 2*, previously exclusive to those who conquered the game on God Mode. This coveted set can be claimed from any Lost Items chest in the base game or instantly in the roguelike Valhalla mode post-update. Additionally, the update will introduce the much-anticipated feature allowing players to customize the appearance of Kratos' weapons without impacting their abilities.
