In Freedom Wars Remastered, customizing your loadout for operations is crucial, and Combat Items play a significant role in this process. These consumables offer a wide array of tactical advantages, but they are finite resources. You might receive more Combat Items as rewards from operations, but these won't always be sufficient to prepare thoroughly for subsequent missions. Initially, you're limited to equipping just one Combat Item, but don't worry—there's a way to increase this capacity.
To equip more Combat Items, you'll need to acquire specific Entitlements. From your cell, interact with the Window On Liberty and select "Claim Entitlements." Navigate to the Equipment section and tab over to the right to find the One-Item Permit at the top. Each subsequent permit below this will incrementally increase your capacity to equip up to a total of four Combat Items.
These permits become available relatively early in the game, and you can purchase all four by reaching CODE level 3. Note that you won't see the next permit until you've purchased the one before it. When you equip a Combat Item, you'll have access to the entire stack you own at the start of an operation. For example, equipping a Frag Grenade will grant you all the Frag Grenades you possess. Additionally, your Accessory can also equip one Combat Item, which will be used at the Accessory's discretion.
As you progress beyond the initial missions in the main story, you'll unlock The Warren, a key HUB area. Within The Warren, locate the Zakka store along the upper right side. Here, you can not only buy weapons but also select the "Buy Items" option to access the Munitions and Medical Supplies lists.
Combat Items are sold individually, and purchasing large quantities can quickly deplete your Entitlement Points. If you find yourself needing a lot of Medkits, consider donating old resources. While operations can sometimes reward you with Combat Items, relying on this method for farming is inefficient due to the time required and the likelihood of using more items than you gain.
