Fortnite Drops Reload Mode, Bringing Back Classic Guns and Iconic Maps!

Fortnite's new Reload mode throws players back to the game's roots with a modern twist. This nostalgic experience crams 40 players onto a smaller map featuring iconic locations from past seasons, including fan favorites like Tilted Towers and Retail Row.

What's in Store for Fortnite's Reload Mode?

Reload mode offers a unique twist on traditional Battle Royale and Zero Build gameplay: squad wipes are game-ending. Survival hinges on at least one squad member remaining alive. The mode features a compact island, eliminating drivable vehicles but compensating with a diverse selection of unvaulted weapons. Expect to see old favorites like the Revolver, Tactical Shotgun, Lever Action Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and Grappler return to the action.

Victory Crowns remain a key objective. Rebooted players return with a common Assault Rifle (and building materials in Build mode). The Reboot Timer adds a layer of strategic intensity, starting at 30 seconds and increasing to 40 seconds as the match progresses. Eliminating enemies reduces this timer, or players can choose to immediately begin their reboot.

When You're Eliminated

Elimination isn't just an end; it's a strategic opportunity. Fallen players drop Small Shield Potions, assorted ammo, and 50 of each building material (in Build mode), maintaining the pressure and resourcefulness of the ongoing battle.

Unlocking Rewards

The Reload mode also introduces enticing intro quests offering substantial XP rewards. Complete three quests to earn the Digital Dogfight Contrail, six for the Pool Cubes Wrap, and nine for the NaNa Bath Back Bling. Securing a Victory Royale unlocks The Rezzbrella Glider.
