Farewell, SwitchArcade Readers! This is the final regular SwitchArcade Round-Up from me. After several years, circumstances necessitate a change of course. Let's enjoy one last roundup!

Reviews & Mini-Views

Fitness Boxing feat. HATSUNE MIKU ($49.99)

Following the Fitness Boxing series' success (including the surprisingly good Fitness Boxing Fist of the North Star), Imagineer's collaboration with Hatsune Miku felt like a natural progression. Having played it alongside Ring Fit Adventure, I'm impressed.

This rhythm-boxing game offers daily workouts, mini-games, and Miku-themed content. Note: it's Joy-Con only. Features include difficulty settings, free training, warm-ups, progress tracking, and unlockable cosmetics. The music is excellent, but the instructor's voice is a bit jarring.

While a solid fitness game, it's best used to supplement, rather than replace, other exercise routines.

SwitchArcade Score: 4/5 -Mikhail Madnani

Magical Delicacy ($24.99)

Magical Delicacy blends Metroidvania exploration with cooking and crafting. While the exploration is well-executed, inventory management and the UI could use improvement. The pixel art and music are charming. The Switch version plays well, but some minor frame pacing issues exist. Excellent UI scaling and text options for handheld mode.

This game shows promise but feels slightly unfinished. Updates could significantly enhance the experience.

Aero The Acro-Bat 2 ($5.99)

A polished sequel to the original, Aero The Acro-Bat 2 offers a solid 16-bit platforming experience. Ratalaika's improved emulation wrapper includes bonus features like box art scans, achievements, and a gallery. Only the SNES version is included (no Genesis/Mega Drive version).

A recommended title for fans of the series and retro platformers.

SwitchArcade Score: 3.5/5

Metro Quester | Osaka ($19.99)

More of an expansion than a sequel, Metro Quester | Osaka offers a new dungeon, characters, and challenges within the familiar turn-based RPG framework of the original. The new setting introduces water-based traversal.

A satisfying experience for fans of the original and a great entry point for newcomers.

SwitchArcade Score: 4/5
