Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince – A Mobile Monster-Wrestling Adventure

Square Enix has unleashed the latest installment in the Dragon Quest Monsters franchise onto mobile devices: Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. Following its December 2023 Nintendo Switch debut, this seventh entry in the series allows players to experience a unique perspective on a familiar character.

Who is the Dark Prince?

Players assume the role of Psaro, a young man burdened by a curse inflicted by his father, the Master of Monsterkind. This curse prevents him from harming any monster. To break the curse, Psaro embarks on a journey to become a Monster Wrangler, teaming up with a diverse range of creatures to ascend the ranks and potentially claim the title of Master of Monsterkind himself. Fans of Dragon Quest IV will recognize Psaro as the game's antagonist, but this mobile title offers a compelling look at his backstory.

The game unfolds in the magical world of Nadiria, where dynamic weather and seasonal changes significantly impact gameplay. Players can recruit, train, and even fuse over 500 unique monsters, creating powerful allies. The weather influences monster appearances, ensuring constant discovery and a diverse roster ranging from adorable creatures to bizarre behemoths.
