Deltarune’s Console Testing Going Smoothly

Toby Fox recently took to his official Bluesky account to inform fans that the console testing for Deltarune's upcoming chapters is progressing well, despite the extensive work still ahead. "Still console testing. There are fewer bugs, but there's a lot to go through. (Haven't even tested PS5 yet)," Fox stated, indicating a thorough approach to ensuring a high-quality release.

Saves Eventually Can Be Transferred To The Main Game

In addition to refining Chapters 3 and 4, Fox and his team are working on a significant feature: the ability to transfer saves from the demo (Chapters 1 and 2) to the full game on console versions. This feature, made possible by recently acquired technology, is a major step forward for player continuity. "I hope it works!" Fox optimistically added. With the beta testing showing promising results, the release of Chapters 3 and 4 is anticipated for 2025, as confirmed by Fox on his Bluesky account.

Fox Namedrops New Character, Tenna

Despite the heavy workload, Toby Fox continues to engage with fans through humorous and meme-filled updates. Recently, he shared a light-hearted anecdote about a minigame he's been working on for Deltarune. "I showed my family and friends a minigame I've been working on for DR (Deltarune) and they all described it as 'a cry for help because your game is not out'," Fox posted, adding that while his family saw it positively, his friend couldn't stop laughing for about 10 minutes.

This minigame has sparked speculation among fans, especially since Fox mentioned in 2024 that the content for Chapters 3 and 4 was complete. Some believe this could be a hint toward content for Chapter 5, part of the planned total of seven chapters for Deltarune.

Fox also teased the introduction of a new character named Tenna in Chapter 3. Tenna was first introduced during the Spamton Sweepstakes campaign in September 2022, aimed at supporting the Child's Play charity. Fox's mention of Tenna has confirmed the character's role in the upcoming chapter, adding to the anticipation surrounding Deltarune's narrative.
