The excitement for the Nintendo Switch 2 is palpable, with fans already making extreme moves to secure their spot as the first in line. YouTuber Super Cafe has taken his enthusiasm to the next level by flying over 800 miles to San Francisco and setting up camp outside the soon-to-open Nintendo Store. Despite the store not opening until May 15, Super Cafe is determined to be the first on the west coast to get his hands on the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, set to launch on June 5, 2025.

In a video released on April 8, Super Cafe shared his journey and plans to camp out for the next two months. He candidly admitted that his decision to camp out shortly after moving into a new apartment might not be the best financial move, but his passion for the Nintendo Switch 2 outweighs any concerns. "I've only lived in my apartment for two months. I like, just moved out," he said. "Terrible financial decision on my end. Whatever, who cares."

Super Cafe isn't the only one dedicated to being first in line; another YouTube content creator is doing the same at the New York Nintendo Store. Interestingly, Super Cafe mentioned he's mostly going solo but is open to others joining him for the San Francisco opening. He plans to address questions about accommodations, food, showers, and other necessities in a future Q&A.

The tradition of camping out for major Nintendo releases, particularly new consoles, has a long history. Now, with dedicated campers at both coastal Nintendo stores, it remains to be seen if this will spark a trend of others joining the queue. These creators are certainly committed to being at the forefront of the Nintendo Switch 2 launch.
