In *Avowed*, Obsidian’s latest RPG, the main quest might feel a bit on the shorter side, but the world of the Living Lands offers a vast expanse to explore. Once you've rolled the credits, you might be wondering what's next. Let's dive into what happens after you beat *Avowed* and explore the options available to you.

Does Avowed Have New Game Plus?

For many RPG enthusiasts, diving back into a game with a New Game Plus mode, where you can replay the main quest on a higher difficulty with all the skills and gear you've amassed, is a thrilling prospect. Unfortunately, at launch, *Avowed* does not feature a New Game Plus mode. However, there's hope on the horizon. Given the community's vocal support for such a feature, Obsidian might consider adding it through a future update or DLC. Until then, if you're eager to revisit the Living Lands, starting a fresh save can still be rewarding. *Avowed* offers numerous choices that impact both the story and gameplay, making it worthwhile to explore different paths and character builds to see how they alter the narrative's conclusion.

Does Avowed Have Endgame Content?

*Avowed* is structured around four main regions, plus a secret unnamed finale area and a return to one of the game's major cities, which we won't spoil here. These final areas are designed to challenge you with Legendary Quality Weapons and Gear, essential for survival. However, once you've completed the game, there's no way to revisit these regions with your endgame power, nor are there new areas to explore based on your decisions. This limitation can be disappointing for players hoping to see how their choices have reshaped the Living Lands.

What You Can Do After You Beat Avowed

Without a New Game Plus or substantial endgame content, *Avowed’s* post-game offerings might feel a bit underwhelming. After the final encounter, you'll be treated to several minutes of animatic cutscenes that showcase the consequences of your decisions, giving you a glimpse into how your choices have affected the world and characters of the Living Lands. Once the credits roll, you'll be returned to the Main Menu.

From here, you have two main options. You can start a new journey with a different Envoy, allowing you to explore alternate story paths and character builds. Alternatively, you can reload to an earlier save point, either just before the point of no return or before the final encounter. This lets you replay key sections and make different decisions to experience varied story outcomes and endings.

Reloading to a save before the point of no return also gives you the chance to revisit previous regions. You can complete any side quests you missed, collect any remaining items, and earn achievements. With your high-level gear, revisiting early regions like Dawnshore can be a fun and breezy experience.

And that's what happens after you beat *Avowed*.

*Avowed is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.*
