A The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild speedrunner triumphed over the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the acclaimed RPG at the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience in Japan, where playtime was limited to just 10 minutes.
As reported by VGC, Japanese content creator Ikaboze used a pre-existing save file without knowing Link's available equipment. Opting to "challenge the final boss completely unequipped and without armor," the creator loaded a save that led directly to the Ganon battle. In just seven minutes, Ganon was defeated, prompting spontaneous applause from the crowd.

The achievement was remarkable, as Ikaboze used an unfamiliar controller and couldn’t hear the game due to the convention hall’s noise.
“I was amazed by the crowd that gathered,” he said. “Even the staff were recording on their phones. I was the first to complete the Breath of the Wild demo, and the staff congratulated me.”
Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild features upgraded graphics and performance, new achievements, and support for the "Zelda Notes" service in the Nintendo Switch Online app. Owners of the original Switch version won’t receive these features automatically but can buy an "upgrade pack" for $10. Both Breath of the Wild and tears of the Kingdom upgrade packs are included at no extra cost for Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack subscribers.
Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders began on April 24, priced at $449.99, and demand was predictably high. Nintendo recently warned U.S. customers who pre-ordered through the My Nintendo Store that delivery on the release date isn’t guaranteed due to overwhelming demand.
