Yamper Joins Pokémon Go in Paw Prints Event

This June, Pokémon Go is kicking into high gear. With the Delightful Days season in full swing, Yamper—the lively Electric-type from the Galar region—makes its long-awaited debut during the Yamper’s Paw Prints event. From June 20th to 22nd, you’ll be able to evolve Yamper into the steadfast Boltund using 50 Yamper Candy.

During the Yamper’s Paw Prints event in Pokémon Go, wild encounters are bursting with puppy-like Pokémon. You can expect increased appearances of Growlithe, Snubbull, Houndour, Poochyena, Electrike, Lillipup, Furfrou, and Fidough in your vicinity.

If luck is on your side, you might even encounter a Hisuian Growlithe or, of course, Yamper itself. For shiny hunters, this event boosts the chances of finding Shiny Snubbull, Poochyena, and Furfrou.

Each day comes with its own themed Timed Research, giving you bonus Stardust, XP, and more encounters. On June 20th, the focus is on Poochyena; Furfrou takes center stage on the 21st; and on June 22nd, it’s Snubbull’s time to shine—quite literally. Be sure to complete each day’s tasks before midnight, as they expire at the end of the day.

A premium research track is available for $0.99, offering additional tasks and rewards such as four Incense, extra Stardust, and encounters with Snubbull, Poochyena, Rockruff, and Yamper. It’s a great deal if you want to maximize spawns or power up your new canine companion.
