Wuthering Waves 2.3 Update & Anniversary Events Begin

Wuthering Waves has deployed its Version 2.3 update, rolling out across four distinct phases. This milestone update arrives alongside the game's first anniversary festivities and its highly anticipated Steam debut – marking the RPG's official PC availability.

Wuthering Waves Version 2.3: Fiery Arpeggio of Summer

The substantial update introduces fresh character banners, compelling story content, and limited-time events. Players with sufficient Union Levels will discover abundant new activities throughout the six-week update period running from April 29th through June 12th, 2025.

The narrative expansion features two major story arcs: A Blaze in the Dark and Your Summer Will Never Wither. Combat encounters also receive upgrades with new Phantom Echoes including Crownless (plus its Nightmare variant), Nimbus Wraith, and the deceptive Chest Mimic.

Anniversary celebrants can participate in the Gifts of Grand Celebration login event (May 23-June 11), rewarding Radiant Tides and Moment of Resonance for Union Level 8+ players. Watch the version trailer below:

Additional login bonuses include Gifts of Grand Reunion (April 29-June 11) and Gifts of Melodic Verses (June 5-19), distributing valuable resources like Radiant Tide, Lustrous Tide, Astrite, Modifiers, and enhancement materials.

Returning and New Mini-Games

The fan-favorite Cubie Derby makes its comeback as both a casual diversion and spectator sport where players can support their preferred Cubes. This board game hybrid combines dice rolling with strategic movement, offering rewards including Phantom: Chest Mimic and Flight Aspect: Laureate.

The initial character banner phase (through June 11) features Resonators Lumi, Taoqi, and Yuanwu alongside signature weapons Dauntless Evernight, Overture, and Hollow Mirage.
