The final leg of Wednesday season 2 is less than a month away — but fans can get a preview of what’s coming next with the brand-new trailer Netflix just dropped. Here’s the kicker: there’s one seriously major cameo in it that will absolutely blow you away.
None other than iconic pop legend Lady Gaga joins season 2 as a guest star during its second half. The teaser picks up with Principal Weems (Gwendoline Christie) revealing to Wednesday that she isn’t, in fact, dead — but needs a new spirit guide, a role Weems will take on as Wednesday embarks on a dangerous quest. Tyler (Hunter Doohan) remains at large and hunting Wednesday and her friends, but Miss Addams is determined to stop him… and right at the end of the sneak peek, we hear Lady Gaga’s voiceover: “Beware. There will be a price to pay.”

Netflix has officially listed Gaga as a guest star in season 2’s press release, so fans will likely see her on screen alongside hearing her voiceover over the next four episodes. No doubt she’ll look stunning in the show’s signature lavish costumes. That said, we still don’t know much about her character yet, leaving her role mostly shrouded in mystery beyond this initial reveal.
Netflix also unveiled new images and a poster for season 2, showing Wednesday reclining in a coffin with arms crossed over her chest while giving an icy stare to the camera. It includes the clever tagline: “Season 2 will be the death of me.” Smart move.
According to Netflix, here is the official synopsis for season 2:
“Wednesday Addams returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await. This season, Wednesday must navigate family, friends and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem. Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery.”
The first four episodes of season 2 are streaming now on Netflix, while the next four arrive September 3.
"Wednesday continues to be passably entertaining mainly thanks to its visuals and its casting, particularly Jenna Ortega in the central role," IGN wrote in our Wednesday Season 2, Part 1 review, which gave it a score of 6/10.
