Your journey kicks off in the heart of town, right across from the Gun Store and Hospital, and in front of the Trading Hut. Start by offloading any excess loot and gearing up. In my opinion, a Rifle is your best bet here. Priced at just $75, it packs enough punch to fend off most foes, at least temporarily. Don't forget to stock up on coal to power your boat's old-school engine.

The next town is a hefty 10,000m away, but don't worry—fire up your boat and you'll be cruising along in no time. You can take a detour to eliminate and loot Zombies and Drowned, but I wouldn't recommend it; the houses on the sides don't hold much value. To get moving again, just toss more coal into the engine. Ignore the worm wiggling on the right side for now. Hold onto your loot until the second safe zone to sell it off, but stay alert for Big Foot and Zombie mobs lurking on both riverbanks.

After reaching the second safe zone/town, you'll encounter burning buildings teeming with mobs. If you're with friends, clear them out, but solo, it's not worth the time due to scattered spawn points. At about 12,000m, you'll find a castle-like house filled with Drowned, but also stocked with Shotgun ammo and other valuable loot. Use it wisely.

By this point, you're familiar with the routine—kill, loot, repeat and hope your enemies fall. That's the essence of the game, but to excel, you need to be efficient. Utilize your boat as a mobile inventory, clearing your bag when you return to it to save space and time.

A tip that significantly boosted my progress was stacking Zombies near the incinerator. While it's tempting to rush out of those backwater towns, efficient loot stacking pays off. Running low on fuel? Just throw a few Zombies in the incinerator and you're set.

Another useful strategy is to keep an eye on Sheriff's offices. These spots often harbor a high concentration of mobs, but the rewards in weapons and ammo are worth it. I sustained my shotgun's ammo supply by having a friend clear the ground floor during our town sweeps.

Be sure to conserve your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress at around 25,000m. It's still under construction, making it a prime spot for ambushes. I wouldn't suggest venturing here without at least three others, and a group of five is ideal. Collect loot efficiently here.

Avoid engaging Big Feet past 30,000m at all costs. They're incredibly tough, require a lot of ammo, and hit like a ton of bricks. Don't linger too long; prioritize strategic stops over excessive looting.
The town past 50,000m is one of my top farming spots. With at least two dozen Drowned and Zombies, it's perfect for shotgun or sawn-off users. It's also an efficient way to gather corpses for fuel, so coordinate with your team to prepare bodies for loading quickly.
Before facing the Kraken, sell everything you have in the final safe zone and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't underestimate the Zombies and Drowned; ensure you have a stash of at least 8-10 corpses for fuel during this crucial phase. At around 100,000m, you'll hit open waters and be ready to confront the beast. The impending battle is signaled by darkening skies.

As the Kraken emerges, everyone must choose a tentacle to attack. The boss has substantial health, and each tentacle can deal damage if not properly countered. With five people on board, form a pentagram-like formation and focus on your designated tentacle.

Watch out for the water splash ability, which inflicts AoE damage. It's signaled by the Kraken pulling back a tentacle and creating a water trail. Use medkits liberally to mitigate the unavoidable damage.

Lastly, be cautious of the Roar AoE, which causes minor, unblockable damage and seems to slightly boost the boss's damage. You'll see it as white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle that used the ability.
