Supercell Unveils Project R.I.S.E. from Clash Heroes

Supercell, the renowned Finnish developer, has delivered an unexpected twist. Following the announcement that their popular RPG, Clash Heroes, is being discontinued, they’re now gearing up to reintroduce it under a new guise. However, this isn’t your typical relaunch. Project R.I.S.E., the upcoming title, marks a fresh take on the original concept.

The Full Story Unfolds

Clash Heroes has officially reached its end. The rumors were confirmed, and much like Clash Mini before it, the game is now retired. Yet, Supercell isn’t leaving fans adrift. Instead, Clash Heroes is receiving a rebirth through Project R.I.S.E., an innovative social action RPG roguelite set within the beloved Clash universe.

In a recent announcement video, Game Lead Julien Le Cadre laid out the details. “Clash Heroes is dead. That’s the bad news,” he stated candidly. “The good news is that Project R.I.S.E. remains a Clash game, and the even better news is that it’s evolving into a multiplayer-focused action RPG.”

To learn more, watch the official announcement video below.

As mentioned, Project R.I.S.E. draws inspiration from Clash Heroes but introduces significant changes. It’s a brand-new social action RPG roguelite designed from scratch. Players will join forces with two others to embark on an adventure in The Tower. Each session unfolds on a different floor, with the objective of climbing as high as possible. Unlike its predecessor, Project R.I.S.E. emphasizes cooperative gameplay across various characters, shifting focus away from solo PvE dungeons.

Currently in pre-alpha development, the game is slated for its first playtest in early July 2024. Fans can sign up on the official website for a chance to participate.
