Sony Bravia X93L Review by Jaron Schneider:

"The Sony X93L isn’t cheap, but largely earns its price through very good image quality powered by top-tier processing that results in a fantastic gaming experience."

The Sony Bravia XR X93L, released in March 2023, was the second highest-end non-OLED TV in Sony's lineup at the time, just below the X95L which was only available in an 85" screen size in the United States. The X93L boasts Mini LED technology, which excels in HDR content. This technology uses an array of LEDs that can independently turn on and off, improving black levels and contrast ratio. With Mini-LED, the LEDs are smaller and more numerous, allowing for finer control of brightness levels within the same scene.

The X93L is also an excellent choice for gamers. It features four HDMI ports, two of which support the HDMI 2.1 specification. HDMI 2.1 enables 4K output at up to 120Hz refresh rate, making it perfect for current-generation consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The upcoming Switch 2, when docked, will be limited to 60fps in 4K, so you won't need HDMI 2.1 for that system.

If you're an Android smartphone user, you'll appreciate Sony's use of the Google TV smart interface. It's user-friendly, reliable, and you can even use your Android device as a remote.
