Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, is critically ill. His family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his mounting medical expenses and living costs while he's unable to work.
According to a PC Gamer report, Johnson's wife, Kim, and family members revealed that he was found unconscious and barely alive in his hotel room last week after failing to appear at a benefit event he was scheduled to host for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in Atlanta. Hotel security had to intervene to gain entry to his room.
The GoFundMe campaign initially aimed to raise $50,000 but has already surpassed its goal significantly, exceeding $144,791 in donations from over 2,200 supporters. Beyond his extensive video game voice acting career, Johnson has also served as the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals for 25 years and boasts a diverse resume in film and television.
His extensive work with Bethesda includes memorable roles such as Ron Hope in Starfield, Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, three Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among many others. The gaming community is rallying behind him and his family during this difficult time.
