Sega Unveils Merch Extravaganza for Loyal Yakuza Fans

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series by letting fans vote on the next official merchandise items! A whopping 100 options are available, with the top two vote-getters promised for release within the next two years. The vote, currently only available on the Japanese official website, offers a diverse range of choices.

While some options are more conventional, like a 20th-anniversary hoodie or a themed pencil case, many others are delightfully bizarre and directly inspired by the series' memorable moments.

The selection includes iconic items such as Munan Suzuki's cult outfit from Yakuza 0, Majima's infamous traffic cone hiding spot from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants." Other options range from Majima's sake cup from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth to Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4.

The studio is already planning at least one 20th-anniversary release in 2025 with Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean launching February 21st. While a second major release is unconfirmed, RGG Studio's prolific output in recent years (nine games in the past five years, including Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Like a Dragon Gaiden, Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, and several others) suggests it's not outside the realm of possibility.
