Sega Prepares 'Sonic' Games for 'Hedgehog 3' Launch

Get ready for a triple dose of Sonic! Sega is celebrating the upcoming release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 with major updates across its mobile Sonic game lineup. These updates, inspired by the new movie, will hit Sonic Forces, Sonic Dream Team, and Sonic Dash.

First up, Sonic Forces receives a new Metro-city Zone on December 12th. This exciting addition features three challenging tracks playable as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other classic characters. Complete them all before seeing the movie for the ultimate experience!

Next, on December 18th, Sonic Dream Team gets a major boost with the addition of Shadow as a playable character, complete with his signature Chaos Control and Chaos Shift abilities. Unlock him through Tails’ Challenges. New powers like Quick Grind and Perfect Boost are also introduced for all characters, while Shadow gets exclusive upgrades including Double Chaos Shift. Six new Shadow-themed statues and music tracks round out this update, along with a revamped tutorial.

Lastly, Sonic Dash's update arrives on December 20th, letting you unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic by collecting cards. Daily collectibles offer extra rewards. Sonic Dash+, on Apple Arcade, will receive its Shadow-themed update in January.
