Ready or Not offers a thrilling tactical experience, and mods can significantly enhance it. However, mods can sometimes lead to instability and prevent multiplayer sessions with friends who haven't installed the same modifications. This guide shows you how to completely remove all mods from your game.
How to Remove Mods in Ready or Not
Regardless of how you installed them (Nexus Mod Manager, mod.io, or manual installation), removing Ready or Not mods is straightforward:
- Unsubscribe: Launch Ready or Not and unsubscribe from all mods within the in-game Mod Menu. This prevents them from automatically reinstalling after deletion. Close the game.
- Delete Game Files: Open Steam, right-click Ready or Not in your Library, select Properties, then Installed Files, and finally Browse. This opens the game's directory. Navigate to
Ready Or Not
> Content
> Paks
. Delete everything within the Paks
folder, then delete the Paks
folder itself. - Delete Local AppData Files: Press Windows+R, type
%localappdata%
, and press Enter. Locate the Ready Or Not
folder, then navigate to Ready Or Not
> Saved
> Paks
. Delete the Paks
folder here as well. - Verify Game Files: In Steam, right-click Ready or Not, go to Properties > Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files. This ensures a clean game installation.
- Optional Reinstall (Recommended): For a completely fresh start (especially if you're not planning to use mods again), consider reinstalling the game. While not strictly necessary, it provides a clean slate.
Why Delete Ready or Not Mods?

Furthermore, mods prevent you from playing multiplayer with friends who don't have the same mods installed. Deleting your mods ensures compatibility and smooth multiplayer sessions.
