Rauora is the new Rainbow Six Siege operator

The final day of the Six Invitational is always a big day for Ubisoft and Rainbow Six Siege announcements. This year's highlight was the reveal of Rauora, the newest Attack operator hailing from New Zealand.

Rauora's unique ability is the DOM launcher, a deployable bulletproof shield designed specifically for doorways. While resistant to bullets, it's vulnerable to explosives. A clever twist is its trigger mechanism; friendly fire opens the shield instantly (one second), while enemy fire takes a significantly longer three seconds. This time difference could be game-changing, especially when the defuser is planted.

Adding to the excitement, Rauora introduces the Reaper MK2, a new fully automatic pistol featuring a red dot sight and high-capacity magazine. She also has access to the M249 LMG and the 417 marksman rifle as alternative primary weapons.

Rauora will be playable on the Rainbow Six Siege test servers next week, with a wider release to follow shortly after.
