HP has launched preorders for its 2025 Omen Max 16 gaming laptop, featuring cutting-edge hardware like the Intel Core Ultra 9 HX-series processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 mobile GPU. Shipments are expected to begin on March 13. This model will serve as HP's flagship gaming laptop, complementing the standard Omen and slim Omen Transcend lines.
Available in March. The HP Omen Max 16 launch edition features an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, designed for high performance compared to the efficiency-focused Core Ultra 9 185H. It includes a 16-inch QHD+ 240Hz display, 32GB DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 1TB M.2 SSD, priced at $2,699.99—about $500 less than a comparably equipped Razer Blade 16.
HP anticipates shipping the Omen Max 16 in early to mid-March, just weeks away. The RTX 50-series mobile GPUs are yet to be released, so benchmark data is not available.
Razer's 2025 gaming laptop lineup, including the Blade 16 and Blade 18, is now available for preorder on Razer.com. These models feature upcoming Intel or Ryzen processors, depending on display size, and RTX 5000-series GPUs (RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, or RTX 5090). Preorders include bonus accessories based on the model.
Razer Blade laptops are renowned for their premium build quality, crafted from a single aluminum block for a sleek, lightweight design. Their proprietary cooling system, featuring a vacuum-sealed, liquid-filled copper vapor chamber, ensures efficient heat dissipation. Like Apple’s MacBook Pro, Razer’s engineering excellence justifies their higher price point compared to mainstream brands.
