Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional January events. Let's dive into the upcoming festivities!

Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration

The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza taking place across three international cities:

• Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
• Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
• Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th

This annual event offers exclusive in-game items, enhanced gameplay, and special bonuses. In-person attendees can enjoy unique city-specific experiences, including exclusive merchandise and community gatherings. A key attraction is the appearance of rare Pokémon typically unavailable through standard gameplay. Past events have featured legendary Pokémon like Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow. Shiny Pokémon encounters will also be boosted.

In-person events feature exclusive merchandise, themed areas, community hubs, and team lounges for trainer interaction. While specifics for 2025 remain under wraps, expect a similar format to previous years.

January Events: Fashion Week & Shadow Raid Day

Beyond the Pokémon GO Fest announcement, Niantic revealed two exciting January events:

Fashion Week: Taken Over: (January 15th, 12:00 pm - January 19th, 8:00 pm local time)

This event features:

• Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni.
• Debut of Shroodle and Grafaiai, hatching from 12 km Eggs.
• Increased appearances of Shadow Pokémon like Snivy and Tepig.
• A chance to encounter a fashionably dressed Croagunk during snapshots.

Shadow Raid Day: Shadow Ho-Oh: (January 19th, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm local time)

This event offers:

• The opportunity to capture Shadow Ho-Oh in five-star raids.
• A $5 USD ticket providing eight extra Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from raids.
• A higher chance of encountering a Shiny Ho-Oh.
• The possibility of teaching Ho-Oh its signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
