After months of speculation and leaks, Pokémon Champions, a brand-new multiplayer Pokémon battle game, has finally been revealed. This exciting project is a collaborative effort between Game Freak and The Pokémon Works, a recent joint venture between The Pokémon Company and ILCA (the developers behind Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl).

Pokémon Champions focuses on core-style Pokémon battles, allowing players to engage in online competitions. The trailer showcased both Mega Evolution and Terastallization, hinting at a wide range of Pokémon and battle styles across various generations.

PlayA significant feature is its integration with Pokémon Home, enabling players to transfer Pokémon from other games into Champions, finally providing a purpose for those hundreds of Pokémon gathering digital dust in players' boxes.

Currently in development for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, Pokémon Champions lacks a confirmed release date. However, it will support Latin American Spanish at launch, alongside other languages commonly featured in Pokémon games.

Interestingly, Pokémon Champions appears to be the same game that leaked last year as "Pokémon Synapse," part of the extensive "Freak Leak." While initial details were scarce, suggesting a multiplayer game with comparisons to Splatoon, the official reveal clarifies its core battle focus.
