After months of speculation and leaks, Pokémon Champions, a brand-new multiplayer Pokémon battle game, has finally been revealed. This exciting project is a collaborative effort between Game Freak and The Pokémon Works, a recent joint venture between The Pokémon Company and ILCA (the developers behind Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl).
Pokémon Champions focuses on core-style Pokémon battles, allowing players to engage in online competitions. The trailer showcased both Mega Evolution and Terastallization, hinting at a wide range of Pokémon and battle styles across various generations.
A significant feature is its integration with Pokémon Home, enabling players to transfer Pokémon from other games into Champions, finally providing a purpose for those hundreds of Pokémon gathering digital dust in players' boxes.Currently in development for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, Pokémon Champions lacks a confirmed release date. However, it will support Latin American Spanish at launch, alongside other languages commonly featured in Pokémon games.
