FDG Entertainment and Cornfox & Bros. have unveiled their latest venture, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon, set to launch on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam in Q2 2025. This new installment in the Oceanhorn series unfolds 200 years after the events of Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, offering a fresh twist to the beloved franchise.
In Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon, players won't be navigating the high seas but will instead delve into the perilous depths of an underground labyrinth. This game introduces a dungeon crawler experience with a nostalgic retro feel.
The setting is a world of Gaia in disarray, where the once-mighty Kingdom of Arcadia is now a fragmented collection of islands, and the legendary White City is but a distant memory. Amidst this chaos, four brave adventurers set their sights on the mysterious Chronos Dungeon, rumored to house the powerful Paradigm Hourglass—an artifact capable of rewriting history itself. Their mission? To restore the world to its former glory by braving the dangers within.
The developers have released an announcement trailer for Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon, which you can view right here:
Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon embraces the classic dungeon crawler genre with a distinct 16-bit arcade aesthetic. The game is designed for couch co-op, enabling up to four players to join forces in cooperative play. For those without a full team, players can control all four heroes solo or switch between them as needed, adding flexibility to the gameplay.
Each playthrough offers a unique experience as the heroes' starting stats vary, influenced by their zodiac signs. The game features four playable characters: the Knight, the Huntress, the Grandmaster, and the Mage, each bringing different skills to the table.
Beyond its 16-bit and pixel art visuals, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon is complemented by a chiptune-inspired soundtrack and a host of old-school arcade features, enhancing its retro appeal.
You can explore more details on the game's Steam page, which is now live, and stay updated on FDG’s latest addition to the Oceanhorn series.
