Ninja Gaiden Returns: Remastered Unveiled, Fourth Installment Announced

Developer_Direct showcased more than just DOOM: The Dark Ages; the highly anticipated Ninja Gaiden 4 also made a splash. Set for an autumn 2025 release, the game promises a thrilling return to the action-packed slasher gameplay fans love.

The reveal trailer highlighted Ryu Hayabusa's return as the protagonist, navigating a rain-soaked cyberpunk city teeming with enemies. New mechanics, such as wire and rail traversal, add a fresh dimension to the classic Ninja Gaiden formula. Players will battle hordes of technologically enhanced soldiers and terrifying creatures in a desperate attempt to break an ancient curse plaguing the megacity.

Adding to the excitement, a major remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2, already available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S (including Game Pass), has been upgraded to Unreal Engine 5. This remaster boasts completely overhauled character models, visual effects, and environments, and even incorporates elements from later games in the series, including three additional playable characters.

Koei Tecmo's extensive work on both Ninja Gaiden 4 and the Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster deserves significant praise and attention from the gaming community.
