Perfect World Games and Hotta Studio have released the opening cinematic for Neverness to Everness, offering a dramatic glimpse into the supernatural turmoil of their forthcoming urban open-world RPG. Named Hypervortex Before the Storm, the trailer sets the stage for the Containment Test—a closed beta scheduled from July 3rd to 16th, available only on PC.

Developed with Unreal Engine 5, Neverness to Everness plunges players into the dreamlike city of Hethereau, where skateboarding anomalies and Esper-powered abilities merge in a world that’s both eerie and visually striking.

The game world features high-speed driving, fully destructible crash physics, and a rich array of lifestyle features, allowing you to decorate homes, design interiors, and balance a double life amid chaotic missions. During the beta, players can engage with essential mechanics including vehicle traversal, Esper abilities, and the blend of supernatural occurrences with everyday life. The beta supports English, Japanese, and Chinese voiceovers, along with multiple text languages, but console and mobile users will need to wait; a full launch date is yet to be announced.

As titles like Ananta emerge in the same space, Neverness to Everness is entering a highly competitive arena. However, based on Hotta Studio's track record with Tower of Fantasy, they appear poised to set a new bar rather than follow the crowd. Its bold art direction and unique features—including drivable cars—could help it rise above other games in the genre.

Stay tuned for updates on the iOS and Android versions of Neverness to Everness. In the meantime, learn more via the official website and follow their X account for the latest news.
