Monster Hunter Now Season 7 Launches with New Base

Niantic is set to roll out its next major update for Monster Hunter Now: Season 7: Advent of the Exploration Base. Launching on September 18, 2025, this update marks the official fall season. It introduces new monsters, the full release of exploration bases, enhanced style customization, and fresh armor skills.

The monster roster is expanding

Espinas, Garangolm, and Lunagaron will join the hunt at the season's start. Then, on September 22nd, Riftborne Deviljho will appear as a new Riftborne monster. Its weapons will also become eligible for style customization.

The style customization system, first introduced in Season 6, is receiving a significant overhaul. Parameters will now increase more substantially with each level, allowing customized weapons to match the power of the strongest available equipment.

Exploration bases, previously in beta testing, will go live for all players in Season 7. Connected to local landmarks, these bases grow stronger through cooperative play. Their function is somewhat similar to Niantic's PokéStops in Pokémon GO.

The new armor sets for Espinas, Garangolm, and Lunagaron introduce six new skills. Pursuit increases damage when breaking a monster part for the first time. Ballistics extends the critical range for arrows and ammunition.

Reckless raises damage output but disables perfect evades, while Guard Up allows you to block normally unblockable attacks. Finally, Vital Fire and Vital Ice boost elemental values based on your remaining health.

Selectable monster groups are another major addition

You will now have the ability to choose which groups of monsters appear in your area. Additionally, the developers are reducing the resource demands for weapon progression. Starting with Season 7, forging and upgrading most weapons will require fewer materials.
